Angelo State University entered a time of rapid change without a plan to guide growth and align developments with the institution’s mission and vision. So officials created an integrated planning system to share information and encourage collaboration on meeting goals that supported the mission.

They adopted a software package that allows them to incorporate plans from every unit into the same system. Administrators track which divisions are up to date on their planning tasks and help officials in all departments use the system effectively.

And if a plan from one division will have an impact on another, the second division is notified. For example, if a plan calls for additional IT support or equipment, the IT department is automatically notified of the department’s request.
